This world is at its end. In 48 hours a massive plague will sweep the globe, killing all things human. You have a shelter that will protect anyone you get inside within the next 24 hrs. The shelter can support 12 people for 6 months. So, you have 24 hours to gather to you 11 people to restart mankind. Who do you choose?

Things to think about.

You want a good genetic pool. If you don’t bring someone with a problem then the problem will not exist.

If you don’t bring someone with AIDS, then AIDS will not continue.

Diversify the gene pool to avoid problems down the road.

Will the people be able to survive the trauma caused by this experience?

Most buildings will be intact, but there will be no power or water.

All it would take is one fire, and whole states would become one huge blaze.

The animal population would do 2 things: first all the rodent populations will explode as humans no longer control, them, their competition is gone, and food (human food and corpses) is in great supply. Then the predators will grow in number b/c there is more food and space for them. The result will be a collapse of the ecosystem b/c the food will run out. Hopefully things will balance themselves out, but nature will reclaim everything.

Because of the rodents, the food will be gone.
